At Pomegranate, we are sowing seeds for a strong and vibrant community of women, children and families.
We started as a midwifery clinic, offering maternity and newborn care. From these early days, we have grown into a connecting point for our community of families
We now have classes, workshops, massage, counselling, acupuncture and mom & baby drop-ins. We have a free store, a lending library, an annual picnic and other annual events and free Info Nights monthly. We support local health care initiatives, local business, grassroots ‘mompreneurs’, the LGBT community, single mothers and families in the hood. We do all this through the inspiration we get from meeting the women and families that walk through our doors each day.
Midwifery is catching. In some parts of BC, Registered Midwives catch 30% of babies. At Pomegranate, we have more than 12 midwives working.
Having a Registered Massage Therapist at our clinic makes it easier for you to receive the best care during your pregnancy and after.
We now have an Acupuncture clinic at Pomegranate on Monday nights. You can receive expert care from one of several Registered.
The childbearing year is a time of vast changes, both physically and emotionally. We have an onsite Registered Counsellor who provides private counselling.
At Pomegranate we have ongoing classes and workshops to enrich your time with us. We are fortunate to work with a stellar crew of instructors, educators and facilitators.
I would recommend Pomegranate Midwives to everyone! My partner and I were blown away by the support, knowledge, care, attention and expertise of our midwives. They were all wonderful people and helped us so much during the pregnancy, birth and postpartum. Yay midwives – I can’t imagine not going this route for childbirth care.
