Pomegranate Postpartum Drop-In

Aleksandra Henderson

Birth and Postpartum Doula, Childbirth Educator, Breastfeeding Counselor

The miracle of birth has made an everlasting impact on Aleksandra’s life and for this simple reason she chose to be part of the birthing and new family community.

A mother of three, she has been a doula since 1996 and in that time has attended over 250 births
and works with each of these families as they transition into their postpartum.

Jasmine Cairo

After the empowering home births of her two sons, Jasmine fell deeply in love with anything to do with birth and babies. She is honoured to be able to support families through their birth experiences as a birth doula, breastfeeding counselor, and childbirth educator for the Childbearing Society.

Melina Auerbach, BA, MPH

My passion is to help parents have a smooth transition to parenthood. Ever since the birth of my son in 2003, I have been involved with supporting new mothers. I first trained as a breastfeeding counselor in the Netherlands, where both my children were born, and have been a post partum doula since 2008. Before becoming a doula I worked for 15 years in community health– in Canada and abroad.  Working with new families brings together my interests of birth, breastfeeding, culture and community.  I feel it is a privilege to support families in their parenting journeys.

Cloth Diapering 101

Karen Randal

Working for seven years as an Occupational Therapist with mothers and babies in the NICU and with families and young children in the community, I have always felt a pull to connect with Mothers & Babies. There is something magical and transformative about becoming a mother and the wonders of a developing baby never ceases to amaze me. Launching New & Green Baby Co. has allowed me to continue to make connections with mothers and babies and share knowledge which is what I love to do. Owning and running New & Green has been a dream come true, from a productivity and family perspective. It’s been very exciting to be Vancouver’s first online store where you can get everything you need to successfully cloth diaper your baby – products and information.
