2 hour infant CPR course – October 23, 2018 6:30-8:30pm

$40 per person or $70/couple
This hands-on CPR course is for knowledge only – no certification will be granted as it’s only 2 hours long. It’s perfect for parents who want knowledge and practice but don’t need a certificate for professional purposes.
The course will cover CPR, choking, and accident prevention for both infants and small children.
Pre-mobile babies are welcome.
In this course your child will learn about becoming a new sibling, the birthing process, birthing body anatomy, the basics of touch, and an introduction to infant massage. Siblings to be will also be taught the skills for holding a new baby and ways they can help as a new sibling.
Resources will be shared to begin supporting your child in preparation for the new baby. This class runs 45 min long with extra time at the end for questions and transition.
When: November 3rd, 2018 9 am
Where: Pomegranate Community Midwives 2647 East Hastings St
Who: children over two accompanied by at least one parent but all parents welcome and encouraged.

A little about the teachers:
Tanya Podlozniuk MC RCC
Tanya is a Registered Clinical Counsellor and has been working with Pomegranate since 2012. She is passionate about supporting pregnant people during and after pregnancy and is delighted to begin sibling preparation as one of those supports. Aside form working as a counsellor, Tanya is a mother of two young children.
Kashka Zerafa, RMT
Kashka is a Registered Massage Therapist who has been with Pomegranate since 2011. She is excited to support families as they adapt to pregnancy and birth empowering those she touches with cooperative body awareness and rehabilitation.Kashka has recently returned from a trip to India where she treated children and taught massage with the Liddle Kidz Foundation.
