SARA GRUNDLE
Hello friends! I am so thrilled to be the new student
here at Pomegranate. I just turned 30 this year and
have really gotten the ball rolling toward my career as
a Midwife. I come from a very large family with six
brothers and sisters and grew up in Vancouver.
Before starting on my midwifery path, I traveled all
over the world and worked in a few different countries.
I am very active, and enjoy training for marathons,
playing rugby, snowboarding, surfing, and rock climbing.I am very intrigued by the capabilities of the human
body and what it can do, which is probably what led me here.
About three years ago, I became a birth doula. After attending my first birth, I felt drawn to be more involved in the whole process of labour and delivery, and not just the physical and emotional support that a doula provides. Since realizing that what I truly desired to do was to become a midwife, I attended several births and then applied to Seattle Midwifery School. Currently I am finishing up my first year of studies and am enjoying it so much! I am so excited to work with the wonderful midwives here at Pomegranate, and am thrilled to have the opportunity to attend births and help make your transition into motherhood as wonderful and comfortable as possible.
