ANNE-MARIE LAPLANTE
I had the pleasure of being introduced to the
Midwifery Model of Care with the birth of my son
in May 2005. The personal, individualized &
family-centered care that was offered to my
husband & I by our midwives during our pregnancy,
labour and post-partum period left me praising the
benefits of Midwives to everyone I meet. From
providing us with continuous support, education and one-on-one care, to holding my hand during the labour, their presence was the glue that kept me together.
Educated at McGill University in Psychology, my interests have always been in the Healthcare field. Since 2003, I have had the pleasure of volunteering at Canuck Place Children’s Hospice as a Family Volunteer where I work with children and their families to supplement the social and emotional support services provided by the professional hospice care team.
After working in the Tourism Industry for 10 years and being on maternity leave for 10 months, I was ready for a new challenge! I am absolutely thrilled to be part of this community and look forward to welcoming you to our clinic.
